Application and Introduction of Stainless Steel Braided Hoses

Time : 2023/10/30 9:39:24

Woven hose refers to a product made by weaving a layer of stainless steel wire outside a stainless steel hose or rubber hose, mainly used for electrical circuit protection and pipeline connectors such as household faucets, toilets, and showers.

Composition of woven hose structure

Inner tube: often made of materials such as nitrile rubber, PVC, EPDM, etc. The inner tube of the braided tube is mainly made of nitrile rubber and PVC mixed plastic;

Outer layer: using 8 strands Φ 8mm 304 stainless steel wire woven with a density of ≥ 20 turns/40mm;

Nut and inner core: Made of HPb59 high-quality brass through stamping, machining, and other processes, the surface of the nut is chrome plated;

Connection sleeve: Made of HPb62~HPb65 copper sheets, with a chrome plated surface;

Sealing gasket: 4.5mm thick nitrile rubber flat sealing gasket is used

Woven hoses can generally be divided into single ended tubes, woven tubes, and shower tubes according to their functions. According to the production process, woven hoses can be divided into three categories: low, medium, and high. The low-end braided hose is made of aluminum wire with a finer wire diameter at the lower end, iron nut, zinc alloy inner core, and rubber inner tube. This configuration of product has a certain price advantage, but it has the lowest grade and is prone to problems such as water leakage and oxidation. The mid range braided pipes are mainly made of 304 steel wire, EPDM material, and all copper accessories. The applicable period is generally more than 5 years. High end braided hoses have specific uses, such as braided hoses for water purifiers. The general requirement is to prioritize mid range configurations. Common configurations include 304 stainless steel wire, food grade silicone inner tube, food grade PEX-B inner tube, 58-3 all copper accessories, silicone gasket, etc.
